The Pimpernel Trust is a registered
charity offering advice and assistance on medical,
welfare and accommodation problems to former British
diplomatic service and intelligence community personnel,
and to serving staff and partners for their elderly
relatives.
What we do
We offer an advice and information
service about care at home, retirement & nursing
homes and on financial matters. We maintain a database
of recommended care homes and can access other databases.
We can also refer people to grant-giving organisations.
We
give support to carers.
We fund a totally confidential Medical Advice Line
staffed by qualified nurses. Please contact the office
for the number and other details.
We
run a network of volunteers who tell us about care
homes in their local area and will visit clients who
are lonely or isolated.
How
to access our services
Much of our information
and advice is available on this website. (See the
Publications tab above)
as well as in hard copy. Order hard copies from the
office.
There is no membership subscription for the Trust.
Our services are free but donations are welcome. If
you would like to receive our newsletter by post and
access a range of services, then please register with
us by contacting our office.
How we are run
Our office in London is managed and run by a coordinator,
working with the support of a number of volunteers.
The charity is overseen by seven trustees, who bring
a range of welfare and other suitable expertise to
its management.
Disclaimer
Please note that our information and advice is tailored
